1. Introduction

3. Drug and Alcohol Prohibition
The use, possession, distribution, or being under the influence of illegal drugs or alcohol during working hours or while on Cafe premises is strictly prohibited. This includes the operation of any Cafe equipment or vehicles.

4. Prescription Medication
Employees using prescription medication that may affect their ability to perform their job safely are required to inform their supervisor. It is the responsibility of the employee to ensure that the medication does not impair their performance, and if necessary, alternative duties may be assigned during this period.

5. Responsibilities
a. Employees are responsible for refraining from drug and alcohol use during working hours and while on Cafe premises. They must report any medication that may affect their ability to work safely to their supervisor.
b. Supervisors are responsible for recognizing signs of impairment, addressing concerns, and initiating discussion with the employee.

6. Consequences
Employees found in violation of this policy may be subject to disciplinary action, including verbal or written warnings, suspension, or termination, in accordance with Fair Work requirements.

7. Confidentiality
All information related to drug and alcohol testing and results will be kept confidential, and access will be restricted to those with a legitimate need to know.

8. Review
This Drug and Alcohol Policy will be reviewed periodically to ensure its continued effectiveness and compliance with Fair Work requirements.
