Thank you for choosing to work at Let Minnow Cafe, we have an amazing venue that offers an impressive selection of food, specialty coffee (Bear and the Beard), bang on personable service and an amazing community of regular customers who after time become like family.
The site of the cafe was once the Clayfield Aquarium and many of our older customers will tell you about buying fish from here when they were children. In 2015 it was converted into Let Minnow cafe. Why Let Minnow? It pays hommage to the buildings past, a minnow is a fish and the name is a great play on words!
Trading Hours - Monday - Sunday 6.30am - 2.30pm (kitchen closes at 2pm)

Let Minnow Cafe is a community cafe, we have an amazing local community who even in the toughest times support us with their patronage. But it’s more than that, our community is a true community, when someone needs a hand, everyone pitch’s in to help. When we experienced the floods we had people at the door at 7am the next morning to lend a hand, when Jules was sick the out pouring of love and support from the local community was beyond words. You should be proud to be part of Let Minnow Cafe as we are so privileged to be surrounded by such an amazing community!
Friendliness
We want everyone who walks through our door to feel welcome, I often liken it to the TV show “Cheers”, a place where everyone knows your name. Introduce yourself to new customers or customers you may not know, let them know you’re there to give them the BEST experience and if there’s an issue, to let you know!
We want people walking away saying; "wow, how amazing is that place, how great are the staff, I’ll be back"...

Let Minnow Cafe offers a multifaceted delivery. We believe our food offering is one of the best in North Brisbane (hopefully greater Brisbane). But it’s about the experience, delivering the best service we can, being adaptable and pivoting to deliver on our customers needs and wants. As a team it’s our responsibility to deliver the absolute best we can, people want an experience, they want a smile, hard cooked eggs or no cheese.

Customer Service
Without customers we wouldn’t have a business, we treat of our customers with respect, and understand that sometimes some customers may present as more difficult than others. We love the saying “different strokes for different folks", basically some people have different preferences and communication styles, what may feel like the norm, for some, just isn’t. Acknowledge and respect individual differences and diversity, wouldn’t the world be boring without!
